
Today, fans of the overdue Disney star Lee Thompson Young have been honoring his reminiscence on social media after his sudden passing.
Young used to be the first Black younger actor to have a lead role in the Disney Channel tv sequence The Famous Jett Jackson, which aired on the network from 1998 to 2001. He also starred in two Disney Channel Original movies, Johnny Tsunami (1999) and Jett Jackson: The Movie (2001).
Fans were captivated by his tough screen presence and style in The Famous Jett Jackson. After the Disney Channel sequence used to be canceled, Young went on to guest star in the CBS collection The Guardian. He also played the function of Chris Comer in the 2004 film Friday Night Lights.
In 2013, when the actor didn’t show up to movie the latest episode of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles in 2013, the authorities have been referred to as to his place of dwelling. The statement has some validity to it, however it's not slightly all true. At the time of his death, a spokesman from Disney Channel did factor an official statement about Young’s passing.
“Nothing any of us can say will adequately categorical our sadness over Lee’s premature passing — our ideas are along with his family members and the many fans of his paintings,” the remark said.
However, some fans believed - and still believe - that wasn’t enough. Those who grew up with Lee as one of the very first stars of the Disney Channel imagine that the founding member merits way more respect, agreeing with the aforementioned submit that "without Lee Thompson Young the network would NOT have gotten to where it is today.
The network has not paid tribute to the late actor on any social media accounts or on Disney Channel in the eight years since his death.

After the actor’s untimely passing, Young’s mother and sister started "The Lee Thompson Young Foundation," which aims to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness.
