Heres Why Mariah Carey Doesnt Like Demi Lovato

In April 2020, Demi Lovato admitted to no longer being friends with former BFF Selena Gomez in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, just weeks after she used to be accused of beginning a faux Instagram page the place she allegedly made some not-so-nice remarks concerning the Good For You hitmaker.

And whilst it's been rumored for years that the Hollywood stars have been on bad phrases with one another, it appears as though Mariah Carey can now be added to the list of celebs who Lovato doesn’t get along with. The Grammy winner threw shade at Lovato who concerned herself in a narrative concerning enthusiasts’ comparisons between Carey and pop superstar Ariana Grande.

People were puzzled why the previous Disney celebrity felt the wish to insert herself within the drama - claiming that the 50-year-old is all the time dissing different celebs - particularly since neither Grande nor Carey ever claimed to have had any problems with one every other.

What Did Demi Lovato Say About Mariah Carey?

In June 2016, Lovato made it recognized to her thousands and thousands of lovers on Instagram that she was once on Jennifer Lopez’s side in her ongoing feud with Carey, which stems back to the late ‘90s when J. Lo used to be alleged to have shared a fling with the Fantasy singer’s ex-husband, report government Tommy Mottola.

Songs that had been meant for Carey’s drawing close album on the time used to be quietly handed over to Lopez, and while the pop celebrity wasn’t mentioned to have had any knowledge of the shenanigans that have been taking place at the back of the scenes, it was transparent that the We Belong Together chart-topper took factor with Mottola’s attempt to sabotage her profession following their cut up.

Both Lopez and Carey have thrown lighthearted colour every different’s approach, with the latter famously telling a German reporter in the early ‘00s that she didn’t know who J. Lo.

When their so-called feud reignited over the summer of 2016, Lovato decided to share her thoughts on the drama between Carey and Lopez through insisting that she was completely #Team JLo, sooner than telling fanatics that she doesn’t admire how Carey supposedly disses other people for no explanation why.

A meme on Instagram insinuated that Ariana Grande used to be a discount bin version of Carey, to which the Camp Rock celebrity spoke back via pronouncing: “You were given it the fallacious way around honey.”

"Mariah is a legend and so talented but constantly disses people,” she continued. “It's nasty the way she treats Jennifer. Ari did nothing wrong.”

In another Instagram video, where Lopez is seen brushing off the drama between her and Carey, Lovato responded to the clip, writing: “Cause my girl is classy like that.”

“This is why I posted what I did. Jen keeps it classy but I’m not afraid to say sh**. The woman is mean for no reason. Extremely talented? Yes. Superhuman? Possibly. Unnecessarily rude? Absolutely.”

Then, in December 2016, Carey made an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, and when the Real Housewives producer brought up some of the things Lovato had said about the singer earlier in the year, she didn’t have much to say.

“I don’t know her either. And so I wouldn’t say anything to her. She should come up, introduce herself to me, say, ‘Here’s my opinion, what do you think about it?’ That’s how you handle shit, OK?” the mother-of-two said after rolling her eyes at the question.

In the same interview, Carey was asked what she made of Grande’s music, to which she said: “Honestly, I’m not familiar – I listen to hip-hop more than I listen to pop music.”

According to the self-proclaimed “elusive chanteuse,” she never had an issue with Grande, and that while she’s certainly aware of the comparisons, Carey hasn’t paid much attention to the drama that the fans have created on social media.

Needless to say, however, the Shake It Off vocalist gave her iconic “I don’t know her” response when asked to give her opinion on Lovato sounding off on Instagram about her alleged rude behavior. It’s fair to say that Carey won’t be losing sleep over what the latter had to say.

Meanwhile, in her Harper’s Bazaar interview earlier this year, Lovato revealed that she not only hadn’t spoken to Selena Gomez in a while but they also weren’t friends anymore, which is why she was caught off-guard by the sweet message her former pal posted on her Instagram Story following the 27-year-old’s performance at the Grammys in February.

It was her first time gracing the stage since her overdose in July 2018.

“When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her, so it felt …” Lovato said before coming to a pause. “I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
