In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Joey King addressed how it felt to act alongside her ex. As lovers know, Joey King and Jacob Elordi ended up working in combination on The Kissing Booth 2 and The Kissing Booth Three after their breakup — and in the motion pictures, they play love pursuits.
"No one's thinking to themselves, 'That was easy,' because it wasn't," King admitted. "I'm sure people will analyze every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again."
The actress added that she prioritized her persona over her personal life. "Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I'll do anything to make sure the story of my character, who I care about so much, is complete."
Joey King Admitted She Doesn't Want To Date Actors Anymore
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Joey King opened up about her thoughts on dating fellow actors. "I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough," she mentioned.
King admitted that she does not regret dating her co-star Jacob Elordi. "I think it’s a good thing we dated in the first place. I learned the most I’ve ever learned in my life from him," she revealed. However, when requested if she will see herself courting an actor again, King spoke back "No, I couldn't. I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough."
What Did Joey King Call Jacob Elordi Out On?
After the discharge of The Kissing Booth 2, Jacob Elordi printed to Variety in an interview that he hadn't seen the Netflix hit he stars in. "I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t. Do you like it?" Elordi stated to the interviewer.
While fans had been stunned the actor hadn't watched his own movie, his ex Joey King called him out on Twitter. There, she wrote "Jacob watched it. He’s capping." However, temporarily after she deleted the tweet which made many believe that the two are not on good phrases anymore.
During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, King addressed the tweet as well. The actress stated that "capping means lying."
She added that she found out the term on social media, and she guessed "this is a new thing." King admitted that she won permission from her ex to put in writing the tweet as he "had a good sense of humor", however that she ended up deleting it for a different reason. "It’s something I should not have used as a white person. I took it down … two accounts on Twitter called me out for it, that’s why I deleted it,” King revealed.
Elordi hasn't commented on the tweets, and it is still unclear whether the actor indeed watched the second or third installment of the franchise or not. However, it seems as if the actor doesn't have any hard feelings toward his ex.
After the premiere of The Kissing Booth 3, Elordi mentioned Joey King in his Instagram Stories where he wrote "And one from the start @joeyking. Thank you all of you."
After their split, Joey King began dating producer Steven Piet in September 2019, and in February 2022 the two got engaged.
Jacob Elordi, on the other hand, had more relationships.
